My course

We are already involved in our final year on Robotics & industrial automatisims course, which takes place in Maristak school. Our team, composed of four members; Gotzon P, Unai I, Ugutz O & Asier Zugazaga y quite mature to solve any inconveniences that can occur with no doubt…

Maristas school is located in a big town called Durango which is surrounded by lovely country side and some stoning mountains, but what really makes special from this place is the old town, full of social and commercial life.

Within the first year we had the opportunity to learn and play around all the aspects from electricity, electronics, computing, different software applications, etc…, but also we´ve been involved with pneumatics and hydraulics components, in fact, we built up things like; engines driven by frequency variators and programmed by PLCs, electropheumatic lines, mounting PCs from zero to afterwards installing and configuring the software image, etc…

The first step of this two year course has giving us a wide range of knowledge, preparing us to be skillful for our last year course.

(Attached some examples of our previous works)

picture nº1 – wiring an electrical wardrobe

picture nº2 – Design y construction of an electropheumatic circuit.

3. installing a power supply in a tower PC.

4. programming a Robot.

For the second year, everything will have to do with Robotics & programing. Taking in account both years, we´ll end up with a wide range of knowledge and skills so to make this greater, we´ll have to put our best ACTITUDE!

As a requirement for joining this course, every member of the team should have passed at least secondary school studies, due that during the course we´ll deal with; maths, computing, programming, electrical/electronics, pneumatic/hydraulics and administration issues.

For sure everyone comes with different targets but in overall, the aim of the course is to prepare us for the work market, putting a lot of effort in having a good attitude towards any future´s working situation. We must admit that, although the methodology is working nicely in northern countries, we really miss some master lessons, many times we feel so lonely when doing works (as a lack of information). However, this also can be a key point in many aspects, as we´ll be evaluated whether as individual but also as a group.

Beside the amount of all the school/home works, we´ll do our best (specially the colleagues on Dual), because tough we´ll see how dates are coming to challenge´s end, the best of us will be in every single task. So, if somebody ask us how we´ll schedule our calendar, the answer has to be “step by step” helping each other and making a solid team. For that, we have planned some group meetings, so we can identify strengths and weaknesses of each member of the team. Our final expectations have to do with, becoming a profitable professional working person no matter where we´ll be employed.
