STRIKE AND EXAM

We continue with the strike in the center, but not for long, this Friday is the last day of the strike and on Monday we have an exam, hopefully it works out well since we only have 2 challenges left and we do not want to spoil the course now.

During the strike we were advancing the last challenge of the course hoping that we had time to finish since this model is a chaos, I leave a photo for you to see.

This model that you see in the photo consists in that from a warehouse of pieces that are disorganized, by means of a cylinder it takes out a piece and later an arm with a suction cup takes it to an elevator where with the help of 3 detectors it detects if the piece is orange, black or silver, the arm returns to its position so that the elevator can climb and using a scale measures the piece to know if it is small, medium or large, in our case the good ones are the medium ones, in case of a bad piece the elevator goes down again and throws it to waste.
If it is good, continue up and take it to a conveyor belt that takes it to a turntable where it will be displaced so that first a drill makes a hole, in the next position it will make a stamp and when it reaches the last position a crane with a cylinder and a suction cup will take it to its proper storage.

We have also had to make an HMI screen, to be able to act from the screen and visualize the whole model.
I leave you a picture of an example of model 2, which we have drawn using squares, circles and ellipses.

5th week

Greetings to the friends of ROBOTOKER:

Last week we finished the last challenge called “Comunications”, we delivered our team project to teachers but we must do the exam that corresponds next day 28 because of teachers strike. The current week we started this new challenge without teachers help so God bless us!!!
The last and this new challenge we develop another programming language called Graphcet. So far we have always programmed by KOP or ST languages.
KOP is the most popular programming language because is very easy to learn and it shows you the conditions and the sentences very clear:

Firsteable you write the conditions (open or closed contacts) and then the sentence that must be execute: ( ) ”motor”, run the engine for examle.
The ST (Structured Text) programming language is composed of certain words that form phrases wich conform the instructions:

Graphcet, the new programming language we have learn, looks like a chain. Each link in the chain means the sentence and between the links we write the conditions. The links are called Steps:

Once we have improved our skills programming Graphcet is a very good language to avoid programming mistakes because of its simplicity: will not pass to the next stage until the intermediate condition is met.
